still hard to identify this species because there are some very similar, they are: Ophrys fusca, Ophrys dyris, Lupercalia Ophrys, Ophrys Vasconia.
what I have said is that the differences are flowering time and some differences in morphology, being so imperceptible that only an expert detect them.

Ophrys apifera

One of the most beautiful orchids that can be seen here, can reach 60cm in height, with large flowers, can be found in alkaline soils or slightly acidic in areas with little vegetation, although less frequent, can also be seen in pine forests where the soil is clean, it can be seen from April to June

one of the genres most difficult to identify because Serapias are very similar to each other, are not my favorite

It is one of the easiest orchids to identify, very abundant here in the Sierra D'aire sometimes in large colonies but also sporadically, can be up to 70cm in height but the media must be around 50cm, very showy, found last year during a visit saw the alba one, unfortunately I have no photographic record but certainly early next year will make a rare visit to the pictures and post them here

Dactiloriza elata

This photograph was taken at Chão de maçãs, county of Tomar, which is its location further south in Portugal that I know here can reach over 1 meter high, is not a very abundant plant while it is found in large colonies. It is a plant found in alkaline soils, damp or flooded, in open ground with little vegetation. can be observed from April to June.
